Kimberly J. Brummer (Kim) is a partner specializing in estate planning and administration. She designs customized estate plans, which include trusts, wills, durable powers of attorney, and advance health care directives. Kim regularly counsels individuals, couples, and families regarding selection of fiduciaries, minimization of estate tax liability, and guardianship of and financial management for minor children.

 

Prior to joining the firm in 2015, Kim had a solo estate planning practice in Los Altos for several years. She began her legal career at Heller Ehrman LLP and Jones Day. In 2007, she was honored as a Southern California Super Lawyers Rising Star (a distinction reserved for the top 2.5% of up-and-coming attorneys under age 40).
 

Kim earned her law degree from New York University School of Law in 2003, where she was Chairperson of the Moot Court Board and was named to the Order of the Barristers. Kim received her Bachelor of Arts cum laude degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1996. Kim is a member of the State Bar of California and is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, and Central Districts of California.
